Ron WienerRon Wiener, Founder, Director, and CEO

Ron is a serial entrepreneur and investor in high technology companies, Earth Class Mail being the fifth venture which he has founded and run as CEO since 1988. He has served as the CEO and Postmaster General of Earth Class Mail since the company was first spun out of his Venture Mechanics, LLC, startup incubator as Remote Control Mail Corp (Portland, Oregon) in June, 2003.

Ron’s prior ventures included SnapNames.com, a breakthrough innovator in the domain-name industry (named Internet Company of the Year in 2001); PrintBid.com (sold to Kinko's/FedEx), a pioneering artificial-intelligence based B2B exchange for commercial printing jobs and paper stocks; Distribution Sciences Corp./JetStream Aviation, an aviation software and JetStream mail-order catalog publisher; and Azure Technology, a San Jose-based manufacturer of navigation avionics and flight simulators, and aviation software and catalog publisher. Ron had previously held various marketing and product-management positions with Central Point Software (now Symantec), Eagle Computer, ICOT (AA/SABRE), Orchid Technology and Computer Factory. During much of his career he was heavily involved in the direct-mail business, mailing hundreds of direct marketing campaigns and catalog issues.

Ron studied EE/Computer Science at Carnegie-Mellon University, and was founding President of the Oregon Young Entrepreneurs Assn. (now Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum). He has previously served on the Board of Directors of PriMotive, Max-Viz, Measurecast, Market Mechanix, SnapNames, PrintBid.com, Distribution Sciences and Azure Technology.



Sarah CarrSarah Carr, Chief Operating Officer

Sarah oversees Earth Class Mail's enterprise, government and military sales; retail and inside sales; marketing; operations; and finance and administration. She was most recently the president and COO of Print, Inc., where her leadership increased the company’s performance and value, ultimately leading to an advantageous sale of the company to Pitney Bowes. In that role, Sarah had responsibility for overall company operations and day-to-day management of business initiatives, processes and functions.

Sarah has more than 20 years of leadership experience and achievement in senior management roles with leading financial and business-services firms both in the U.S. and internationally, including Bowne Global Solutions, The Thomson Corporation, Citibank, Shearson Lehman Hutton, Simon & Schuster and Deloitte and Touche.

Sarah received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Lehigh University and has done executive course work at MIT and New York University.



Carl Hicks, Jr.Carl Hicks, Jr., Executive Vice President

Carl brings decades of experience in operations and executive-level leadership in both government and industry to the management team at Earth Class Mail. A retired U.S. Army officer and combat veteran, he served in various command and leadership positions from the infantry squad to army group level for nearly a quarter of a century with responsibility that at times ranged to thousands of soldiers. He was a decorated Airborne Ranger whose assignments were concentrated in combat arms units deployed worldwide.

After retiring from the military, Carl rapidly transitioned into the civilian sector, serving in sales and operations positions and advancing to executive VP, COO and CEO levels with full P&L responsibilities in industries as diverse as chemicals to medical devices and finance. Later, founding his own successful business management consulting firm he focused on small to mid-size business development and M&A.

Carl currently serves as the Chair-Elect of the Board of Trustees and VP of Advocacy for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Inc. in Silver Spring, Md. In this position he has testified before Congress, spoken at numerous Congressional luncheons and been instrumental in furthering legislation for research to combat this terminal illness.

Carl holds a B.A. in International Studies and Russian, as well as an MBA with a focus in Management of Labor and Human Resources, (MLHR), from The Ohio State University.



Mitchell HymowitzMitchell Hymowitz, Chief Financial Officer

Mitchell brings more than 29 years of corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions experience to Earth Class Mail, including 16 years serving as a consulting CFO to over 65 venture-capital-backed startups in consumer products, Internet, software, medical devices and pharmaceutical industries, most recently with Ultreo and Light Sciences Corporation.

Mitchell received his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in computer science from Rutgers University and an MBA from New York University with an emphasis on strategic planning.



Rajeev Dujari Rajeev Dujari, Senior Vice President, Products

A software executive and product developer who made key contributions to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Unified Communications products during his 15-year career there, Rajeev spearheads product delivery for Earth Class Mail’s international, online postal-mail service.

Rajeev is responsible for overseeing product engineering, product management, business analytics, and IT deployment to accelerate the growth of Earth Class Mail’s customer base, which includes individuals, small businesses, enterprises, government agencies, military branches, and national postal services.

At Microsoft, he established a track record of delivering globally recognized innovation in products and services. During his first 10 years at the company, he made key technical contributions to Microsoft’s Windows operating system and five major releases of its Internet Explorer web browser, and he was an inventor on 12 issued patents, with two more pending. Over the past five years, Rajeev led product units charged with delivering major advances to the company’s Exchange Server, Office Live Meeting, and Visual Studio products.

His areas of expertise include desktop clients, enterprise servers, hosted services and software platforms and tools, as well as staff recruiting, mentoring, team-building, and offshore project management. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his graduate research focused on parallel algorithms for real-time speech recognition.



Cameron PowellCameron Powell, J.D., Vice President of Strategic Development

Cameron's background includes business development for emerging companies, putting companies online, and intellectual property law. He co-founded an Internet marketing and search engine advertising firm and two executive coaching firms. He has spoken about online postal mail and advanced sortation robotics at a popular Mailcom seminar and the World Mail & Express Conference, and has been invited to speak at Post Expo 2008 in Barcelona. He has published articles in Mail Magazine and Mailing Systems Technology. He was previously VP of Business Development of SnapNames, an innovator in the secondary domain name market that was named Internet Company of the Year in 2001, where he was instrumental in securing key strategic partnerships, testified before both houses of Congress, and co-wrote and edited the highly successful guerilla marketing newsletter, State of the Domain.

Prior to SnapNames he worked at the Corporate Executive Board (NYSE: EXBD) as a consultant and public speaker; the Top Ten law firm of Foley & Lardner, as an IP lawyer and litigator, and the George Washington University Law Center as an adjunct professor. Accepted into the highly competitive Attorney General's Honor Program at the U.S. Department of Justice, he represented the United States in the enforcement and interpretation of the nation's seminal environmental laws, and obtained a record monetary penalty against willful polluters. Prior, he served as a judicial clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Cameron has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder, summa cum laude and valedictorian, and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.



Adam WeissAdam Weiss, Vice President of Business Development

Adam brings his experience as a business developer and consultant to Earth Class Mail, where he leads the company’s enterprise sales efforts. A management consultant with a background in law and marketing, Adam joined the company from Howard-Sloan Legal Search, a boutique executive recruiting firm where he focused on partner-level and group placements of attorneys at major international law firms. Previously, he was Senior Director of International Business Development and Associate General Counsel of SnapNames, where he secured strategic partnerships and developed sales channels that brought secondary domain names to the consumer market.

Adam practiced law at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and served clients in the energy, hospitality, transportation and fine arts industries as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., Inc. He holds a B.A. in Latin American History, summa cum laude, from Princeton University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.



Chris SalvageChris Salvage, Vice President of Operations

Chris joins Earth Class Mail following a 24-year career in logistics, operations management, strategic planning, P&L accountability, and business development with FedEx. For the past 11 years he has been Managing Director of Operations for FedEx Express in Phoenix, Seattle and Chicago. His responsibilities included managing an organization of as many as 1,500 employees, delivery of 200,000 packages each day, an operating budget of $144 million and package revenues of $250 million.

He was a company award-winner multiple times, including a year in which he took over a district ranked 35th nationally in performance and improved it to No. 1 with better on-time service, lowered accident rates, increased productivity, and reduced costs. In 2003, his district received one of only two awards nationally for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Chris holds a BSBM in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.



Michael MilesMichael Miles, P.E., Chief Technology Officer

Mike leads the robotics and automation team at Earth Class Mail, bringing 29 years of mechanical engineering expertise. For the prior 16 years before co-founding Earth Class Mail, Mike was a principal of ME-Tech, LLC, a mechanical design engineering consulting firm providing expertise in all areas of product design (involving system architecture, prototype and production planning, detailed part design, system and device thermal management and analysis, EMI issues, design for manufacture and assembly (DFM/A), and tooling approval). Among his extensive roster of clients are Apple Computer, nCube, E.Com, Eclipse Technologies, Fiber Sensys, InFocus Systems, Instromedix, Integrated Measurement Systems (IMS), Intel, Lightware, Sentrol, Planar Systems, Sarif, Warn Industries, Tektronix, and ZIBA. For client Siemens, Mike worked extensively on state-of-the-art postal sorting equipment that processed 40,000 mail pieces per hour.

Prior to founding the firm in 1988, Mike spent eight years as a Mechanical/Electromechanical Project Engineer designing components and systems for Tektronix and, later, AT&E Systems (Seiko Receptor Watch). His combination of strengths in plastic part design, mechanism design, stress analysis of materials, and thermal system design are complimented by an acute awareness of the latest technologies and components in the electronics industry. His mechanical design of a broad spectrum of products ranging from small handheld to rack based systems and consumer products to specialized advanced technology equipment illustrate a few facets of his design abilities. Mike holds eight issued patents, and is a registered Professional Engineer, and a member of ASME, SAE and National Assn of Professional Engineers.

Mike studied Liberal Arts, Computer Science, and Physics at Willamette University, and received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.



Jim WilsonJim Wilson, Vice President of Product Engineering

Jim brings 22 years of software development, systems engineering, IT support and executive management experience to Earth Class Mail. Prior to joining the company, Jim was VP of IT at New Edge Networks (acquired by EarthLink) with responsibility for all software development, systems engineering, database administration and help-desk functions. During his time there, Jim was successful in integrating two separate acquired companies into the architecture, applications and processing platforms at New Edge Networks. He also led efforts that resulted in 100% Sarbanes-Oxley compliance following the EarthLink merger.

Before joining New Edge Networks, Jim worked in various technology capacities for companies such as EDS, Freightliner, AVIA, Nike, Consolidated Freightways and Maxtek Components Corporation.

Jim has a bachelor's degree in computer systems engineering from Oregon Institute of Technology.



Stacey LeeStacey Lee, Vice President - Controller

Stacey brings nearly 20 years of finance and accounting experience in the technology field to Earth Class Mail. Prior to joining the company, she served as VP of Finance with technology companies such as Creative Multimedia, Covansys and ABC Technologies; at the latter she was actively involved in acquisitions and with the company’s eventual sale to SAS. Most recently she served as VP of Finance for Galois, a start-up company operating in the trusted-technologies space.

Stacey received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
